Friday Photo – Of Dogs & Prophets

Gypsy

A young woman stepped forward from the throng and asked,

“O great prophet, tell us how we might find love that is unconditional, unwavering and unending.”

The prophet did not answer right away.
He looked off into the distance, gathering his thoughts.
Silence descended upon the crowd.
Then he turned his gaze upon the young woman and said,

       “Get a dog.”

God Has Grace, Even For Fools

Abby, sitting in the leaves at Lalbag

I still find it hard to believe, that I turned this gorgeous girl down, when she told me that she loved me twelve years ago!

My life would would have been so different!

But God has grace, even for a fool like me.
And, so did she.

I love you, babygirl.

To quote Lang Leave,

I don’t know how you are so familiar to me—or why it feels less like I am getting to know you and more as though I am remembering who you are.
How every smile, every whisper brings me closer to the impossible conclusion that I have known you before, I have loved you before—in another time, a different place, some other existence

I love you so much!1

  1. I wrote I love you twice and was about to edit and remove one of the lines, but Abby thinks I could love her twice over and let the line stay. So here babygirl, I love you thrice over! :)

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ...
